Radošca / Radoshitza Cave

The Rado Radešček Collapse, to the northwest of the Najdena jama entrance, has several winter blowholes which indicate cave space below. Two of them have been excavated in the past. The one above the southern rim by a team under the leadership of Jožek Košir - Cox who discovered the location through thermovision observation on a cold winter day (11-minute movie, in Slovenian) in 2011 was abanodened the same year. The second site, named Plahutalnik, towards the top of the northern rim of the collapse, was first dug by Jerko and his team between June 18 and 20, 2009. From 16th till 24th second in the above movie this workplace is shown as it was in 2011, the year it was also abandoned.
After the completed Galacijevka project the decision fell to continue the work here. The main reason being the proximity to the awning, the base of the outside team (about the same distance as to Galacijevka, important for the terrestrial phone connection) and the prospect of a reasonable discovery, possible prolongation of Najdena jama cave.
Today's excursion was jpreliminary, to get acquainted with the cave and to check how to start on, very likely, day 3. Day 2 will be devoted to infrastructural preparations, mainly with cleaning the access to the cave, still much clogged from 2014 sleet and the aftermath.

30593. A toad in the niche at the side of the junction, about 5 m deep; the author took it in his fleece cap and stashed in the caving suit to take her out. Outside he discovered that the animal escaped the cap and found better lodging in the suit fold above his hip. Metod was asked to take it out as he had rubber gloves but did not understand the demand well, at least not exactly, took the animal but did not expect it, got scared and left it to the ground immediately. She was uncomfortable in the sun but quickly helped to a suitable moisty place in the undergrowth.
