Radoshitza Cave

30876. Žan at the cave entrance - behind him is a supporting wall pile of rocks assembled during the initial excavation of the cave or better, the blowhole, by Jerko's team - which included Žan - in 2011.

30877. View of the entrance shaft, inside out, from the depth of about 5 m, fill-in flash

30878. The tunnel in Radošca is narrow and places where two could pass in opposite direction are very scarce. This excursion was devoted to widening of the narrow places so that access to the worksite at the end of 2011 dig could be more easily reached. But the hard point of the drill bit broke off and we had to quit early in the afternoon. So 2 more moeters of the known tunnel remain to be widened. To make this picture of Brajko, Metod and Marjan the author had to squeeze his head with the camera between the knees otherwise his legs would be seen on Brajko's hands.

30879. Brajko is moving a rock down the side tunnel which now serves as an excavation depot.

30880. Another toad has found a perfect hideout in this tiny niche at the main tunnel/side tunnel junction.

30881. Metod and Marjan

30883. It was raining heavily when the author joined the digging team, he came with this umbrella. At the time we returned from the deep the skies cleared considerably. In the picture - Brajko is hauling a bucket with smaller pieces of equipment to the surface.

30884. Hart's-tongue fern, Asplenium scolopendrium, jelenov jezik in Slovenian, on the southern wall of the Radošca collapse
