France is the curator of the best ground plan of Najdena jama cave, now for quite some time in electronic version as well and it really is a pity that he cannot publish it on the net for the common benefit and for all to enjoy. The cave is his lifelong passion, he poured hundreds if not thousands of hours of skilled, meticulous and dedicated work into its map and though his survey lacks the cross-section measurements, required for a 3D model (developed by Klok back in the eighties) it is not difficult to imagine what a great loss for the entire caving community it will be when this masterpiece goes to waste some unfortunate day. The first 200 hundred meters of the cave ground map, after the entrance, he however could part with - laminated on hard foam it is decorating the Članska vas shelter wall at the right of the western window. In the picture: Žan and Ile are trying to locate the actually quite minute cave entrance on the map. Žan: France must have forgotten to mark the entrance, and it is not here, above the Baldahin / Baldachine ...

37260. The first hornbeam branch of dry leaves, a definite sign of autumn. It could also be induced by a long drought this summer.
