50455. After a 300 km travel by bus we arrived to Samarkand and in the evening a traditional, end-of-expedition dinner took place in the Karimbek restaurant.

The idea of visiting Registan, the historical heart of Samarkand, in the night after a day of travel and an ample dinner in the Karimbek restaurant, seemed appealing and time saving but turned out to be a bit of a too much. During the guide's explanation of historic life and events only Ženja S. could keep his eyes (barely) open.
