Pekel (Hell) gorge near Borovnica, 14 February

52091. First waterfall

52092. Rapids between the first and second waterfall

52094. Second waterfall. There are already two water openings in the ice cover.

52095. The ice cap of the Borovniščica riverbed with a bridge under the second waterfall. The bridge was covered with about 2 mm of ice over the entire surface.

52097. The wooden footbridges on the trail, over the side tributaries, were covered with thin ice, and in the middle there was about 5 cm of icy compacted snow. The passage required calm blood, a firm step and, in the author's case, two not-so-short hazel sticks.

Skednena jama, 16 February

52098. Of the ice wall in the Northern entrance to the cave, only a small barrier remained on the floor, ...

52106. The ice in the Main tunnel already melted, more or less, yet this remnant of the ice curtain under the chimney on the west side of the tunnel was still left.

Skednena jama, 23 February

52110. On the 79th excursion to Radošca 2, the author helped Janez and Brajko hauling up the stones from the bottom of the cave, from the eighth to the 33rd bucket (out of 53). The temptation to go to Skednena jama was also great, there is always a new motif to be found there. After the thirty-third bucket, Janez and Brajko generously allowed him to leave the work shift early. In Skednena jama, the author visited the tunnel, which opens at the beginning of darkness under the window in the ceiling of the Main tunnel, through a narrow passage downwards, back to the south. The photo is the view from the passage into the hall at the beginning of the tunnel. Drawing with light, exposure time one minute. After illuminating the left side of the picture from the extreme left, the author walked in front of the open lens to the right without his own light (for the first time ever), in the reflection of the light of another lamp behind the bend in the chimney tunnel. At the bottom left is a low passage to the Chapel, the most beautiful part of the cave, at the bottom right is the blocked main continuation of the tunnel, and straight ahead is the step towards the chimney. It leads towards one more collapse, where a small team of DZRJL members was trying to open the fourth entrance to the cave. It was in the 1960s, the chief digger was Rene (Renato Verbovšek), and the author also participated.
