53972. In the shadow of a shop house in the village center (1750 meters above sea level) - Farangiz and two donkeys, loaded with camping and caving equipment for three people, cave photo gear and food for three days. We added ten liters of water for the first day in the hamlet of Har Ahar just below the mountain wall.
53973. We took the shortest route, which rises directly from the village to Har Ahar at about 1900 meters above sea level, and from there zigzags the wall to the Karaha saddle in the Chul-Bair ridge at about 2300 meters. From there it proceeds with a gentle ascent to the cave at 2647 meters above sea level. The distance is about eight kilometers, four less than the usual route, which crosses the wall at a much lower altitude, two kilometers west of the village. The camp is about a hundred meters higher than the cave, to the left above the canyon. In the photo: the view from the trail to the south across the village to the canyon that leads to the Oltinsoy plain on the border with Tajikistan.
53974. Deep shadow - a willow tree by the bed of a stream, which is no longer here - sinks a little higher into an PE hard plastic water supply pipe, which supplies the village.
53975. Har Ahar (har in Tajik means donkey, and ahar means path) is a green oasis right under the Chul-Bair wall - the water irrigates apple and peach orchards (the winters are a little too cold for grapes), clover fields and vegetable gardens.

53997. From the saddle on, the path turns in the proper direction, towards the northeast, and winds more or less along an isohypse, which is walking friendly.
