Portraits from Jakovica, 1991-1994

        This page brings a selection of photographs (with a single new one) from the exhibition by P. Jakopin, which took place from September 2 to 18, 1994 in the hall of the Laze Primary School, Slovenia. Nearly all the inhabitants of Jakovica are shown. Jakovica is a small village at the northern side of Planinsko polje, a karstic phenomenon situated 30 km to the SW of Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. The road distance from Laze to Jakovica is about 1 km and both villages are part of the same local community.
        Most of the family entries begin with the old house-name. Where the family name of a person is not given, it is the same as on a previous picture and where the location is not present, the photograph has been taken in Jakovica, in the vicinity of the house. Picture dates are in day.month.year format. All are 192 x 128 pixels in size.
