Below the northern rim of the crater, a bit to the west of the trail which winds to the crater bottom, there is a hidden path that leads down to a small rock overhang, very probably enlarged by human hand into a cave-like shelter. In the picture - view out of the cave. A postcard and some other belongings witness that the cave is occasionally used by some modern hermit as a place of meditation and/or prayer.
