Montaña Corona Crater

29810. Rocks on the northeastern side of the crater, just as the sun rose above the crater rim and the whole scene started to bath in sunlight.

29812. Bigger, black rocks on the southern side

29833. Below the northern rim of the crater, a bit to the west of the trail which winds to the crater bottom, there is a hidden path that leads down to a small rock overhang, very probably enlarged by human hand into a cave-like shelter. In the picture - view out of the cave. A postcard and some other belongings witness that the cave is occasionally used by some modern hermit as a place of meditation and/or prayer.

From Ye to the Trail to Playa del Risco and Back

29846. Vineyards west of Ye, wider view ...

29847. ... and more close view. Rock fences protect the vines from wind and help keep at least part of the irrigation water somewhat longer.
