This page explored the use of camera on a rather simple cell phone, the LG K8 G4, the author obtained it tied with his very basic mothly mobile phone plan, for 24 installments, 1 euro each. All the photos were taken with its camera, except the first 4, where a Canon EOS 100 D was used, with 40 mm f 2.8 STM lens.
On the Sunday between Radošca 17 and Radošca 18 Brajko and Blaž wanted to visit Najdena jama, to check the water level and to have some extra fun. Žan was at the place as the gazeebo is always in a need of improvement and Klok, by play of circumstances, also concluded that his presence would be the most suitable way of spending this particular afternoon. Skednena jama cave is not far away and with some luck an attempt to synchronise mobile phone camera with external flashlights would be a most interesting addendum.

33142. Fire in the stove produced a most pleasant warmth on a cold evening and its view was a wide palette of colours, from white to yellow and orange to red and dark red. The cell phone camera only has an automatic colour temperature setting which produced this pinky gamut.

33186. What are Marjan, Mare and Ičo doing? The shovel handle broke at the metal ear and the best way to rectify the problem was to shorten the handle slightly, to cut the broken 5 cm away. Žan with his power saw was momentarily absent ...
33187. ... and so Ičo's mini-saw from the Swiss army knife did the job.

Final verdict of the LG K8 G4 phone camera: quite usable in ample to moderate light, less so in poor light. In short - comes in very handy when no proper camera is available. Can be carried in the inner caving suit pocket almost unnoticed. Canon EOS 100 D, one of the smallest and lightest SLR cameras, with 40 mm f 2.8 STM (pancake) lens can also be carried inside the caving suit, in the armpit, but is very much noticed, especially in narrow parts of the cave. 100 D with standard zoom lens is just too bulky and heavy for the caving suit, has to be carried in a separate cave transport bag.
