35732. Žan's diligence in the village is enviable - the stove is now lifted to the level of the remaining floor and the boards received a sheet metal cover which also hid the board joining line.
35731. Žan joked that it is a camera obscura - the lower part of the stove chimney pipe had to be shortened as it was positioned higher.
35733. Easten shelter windows now have smart aluminum tube supports Žan has devised after a night of brainstorming ...
35734. ... the solution is elegantly simple but totally effective.
35735. Kitchen block has moved from the southern wall to the eastern one.
The cave was discovered by the author during a cave search excursion some 50 years ago yet he failed to tell the others about the disclosure. Probably he wanted to keep it secret for a while - Lipertova jama cave rediscovery was on everybody's mind. The trick was recognized by Žan who also registered the cave and named it after the author, so he would know better next time.
35736. A grass head at the trail to Radošca cave
35737. Ox-eye daisies, Leucanthemum ircutianum, ivanjščice in Slovenian
35739 - 35741. Cave entrance, covered with debris of the February 2014 sleet and the forest works that followed.
35743 - 35745. An hour later the entrance and most of its immediate rim was cleared, resulting in this sight ...
35746. ... and this pile of dry branches and trunks.
35747. View east from the entrance, to the forest road and Mt. Slivnica, 1.114 m
35748. A small shelf in the entrance rim is a nice place to be, for this two green beauties.
35749. Cave cadastre number, painted on the rock on the northern side of the entrance tunnel. It is a palindrome, but not the prime number (the closest is 3109) as it is divisble by 11.
35750. View towards the cave bottom
35751. View out, as close as can be to get the entire rim in the frame ...
35757. ... and from above the cave bottom
35753. Some 3 m before the cave ends, 2 m above the floor, on the southern side of the tunnel, there is a shelf with a small niche where, so it seems, a mink had a dining place.
35754. Flowstone drapery on the right side of the niche ...
35755. ... and a play of light at its bottom.
35756. Cave continuation is buried below the sparsely positioned rocks - with a passage for a small doxie dog.
35758. You have to approach the cave quite close to notice its entrance - vertical view of the entrance 5 m away, to the east ...
35759. ... and a horizontal view.
35761. Forest road from Laze to Kališe is quite close - the cave is in the middle of the dark shadow in the picture center, as seen from the place where the trail to Radošca forks off the road.
35762. Changing to civilian clothes - Gregor has just returned from the cave.
35763. Hogweed, Heracleum sphondylium (navadni dežen) - the leaves are already out, the stem will also come soon.
35764. Brajko is also out - the cave was quite wet today, but he achieved two quite satisfying pushes forward.
35765. Metod, tired but satisfied, the last of the digging trio, is also coming to the surface. The excavation front is now completely crushed and the continuation is more promising than it was during the last 3 digging shifts.
35767. Lunch: oxtail soup, two oxtail parts, bread, pancakes, peach and pear jam, compote of kiwi and apricots
35768. Gregor, Jure, Metod and Brajko during the exhaustive coverage of tomato fertilizing techniques. It commenced after Gregor described what he saw during his recent call to Andrej's vegetable plantation. In 2016 Andrej did not fertilize his tomatos while this year he did, carefully and responsibly, using only the proven natural nutrients, of course, and the difference was amazing. The bottom line: For best results it takes a potent combination of several organic sources with addition of firewood ash.
35769. An artistic installation with Žan's trailer and timber sawing leftovers. Material net cost (trailer excluded): 25 euros.
