36714. A scorpion, Euscorpius gamma, slovenski ščipalec, of a not-so-dangerous variety, in a transparent dish on the bench
36715. Snack: cooked chickpeas, black cumin oil, garlic, bread, black currant jam, aronia juice
36716. Mare is levelling the space in front of the northern door after a large spruce root was removed.
36718. Žan during the preparatory works to remove the spruce stump, now an obstacle to access the same door.
36719. A selfie on the upper forest track to Kališe from the east, view west
36720. View of Mt. Planinska gora from top of the Kališe meadow ...
36721. ... and a view southwest, to the house
36722. Lookout tower is now in the state of decay. The ladder to the first platform has been removed, probably for safety raesons, while the upper two platforms and their ladders are still there.
36724. A dry tree trunk with holes carved out by woodpeckers ...
36723. ... and with a cave mark
36725. Another cave mark. The author tried to locate both caves but was not persistent enough.
36726. Tree markings of a cave trail
36727. Chinese lantern, Physalis alkekengi, navadno volčje jabolko in Slovenian, at the Kališka cesta roadside
36729. Manč, obviously shipshape again, is back from the cave duty.
36730. Lunch: barbecue baked mackerel (considerably overdone), beetroot salad, garlic, bread, goat yogurt, gooseberry jam, aronia juice
36731. Ičo in action at the stump to be removed
36732. Metod and Gregor were the last to return from the cave.
36733. Around the table at the northern door: Mare, Manč, Žan, Modrc, Jure, Frenk and Gregor
36734. Marjan, Metod and Ičo at the barbecue
36735. A still life of empty buckets in the empty lower depot
36743. View of the collapse at the end of the tunnel
36736. Ceiling at the left side, of the passage from the tunnel to the collapse
36740. View up from the bottom of the collapse. The weight of the rock (upper center), for now held in place (some 1.8 m above the bottom) by the surrounding material, was estimated at north of 200 kg.
36742. At the top left of the collapse a hole reaching about one more meter can be seen, 3 m above the tunnel bottom.
36737. Middle and ...
36738. ... lower section of the collapse. It is rocks and mud, probably brought by the rainwater from the surface.
36741. View back into the tunnel from the end of the collapse. The excavated part of the collapse opened a small chamber, tall and wide enough for a man, but certainly of questionable front wall stability. So the very likely solution to the falling rocks problem will be, as the bottom of the surface collapse is about 8 m from top of the collapse side in the cave, to dig from the surface, along the edge of the western collapse wall, enveloping the new vertical tunnel by wood frame that will hold the surrounding stones in place.
