41122. Waiting time passed quite smoothly by means of this snack: cooked red lentils, garlic, bread, black olives, black cumin oil, olives, aronia juice with hot water
41112. The morning was clear but at noon it started raining slightly. Suddenly, out of the blue, two kayaks popped up.

41115. Closer to shore they turned right, towards ...
41116. ... a small beach where they landed. It was a voyage of 22 days, from Molunat in Croatia, close to 700 km of paddling. The main problem were the winds, often unfavorable, many hours were spent waiting for them to calm down. Only the last two legs, from the tip of Istria peninsula upwards, southeasterly Jugo (pron. Yougo), made large waves but helped speed up the travel considerably. Mič's kayak (left) is 5.25 m long and weighs 30 kg, Yeti's one is 5.30 m long and weighs 22 kg. In the front and rear watertight compartments there was all needed for camping, including two tents, behind both seats there is a 5 litre canister of water.

41119. ... and Yeti. While passing the Smokvica islands the wind blew his sturdy hat away but luckily he found this one on a deserted beach in Primošten. He likes it even more because it is lighter and porous, lets the breeze through.
41126. Mič is no rookie sailor, he is a member of Slovenian canoe team ...
41123. ... while Yeti over the years in his company also gathered considerable experience. The longer they travelled, the stronger was his oar.
41127. Even his feet, packed for hours and days in tight humid environment, survived the trip in remarkable condition.
41128. Both kayaks are neatly packed on top of Yeti's car, the cargo filled the entire car trunk.
