46347. Claudio and Ludvik above the entrance shaft after the pulley and its rigging were already in place.

46348. Claudio started the descent down the 8 m shaft, which he knows by heart and can climb it in either direction without gear, chimney style.

46349. View of the entrance from the depth of about 3 m.

46354. Claudio at the bottom of the entrance shaft, just about to descend further 4 m to the excavation site, deeper in the fault.

46359. Available light view towards the entrance from the bottom ...

46360. ... and to the lower part of the shaft ...

46361. ... here seen illuminated by the phone flash. The rope is waiting for the buckets of excavated material.

46362. Side niche with small flowstone curtains

46364. Detail of the side wall with tree roots peeking through.

46350. Soon Claudio started to fill the buckets at the site, ...

46353. ... and helped the author haul them up the 4 m drop. At its top they were emptied into a slightly larger bucket which Ludvik hauled up another 8 m.

46352. Wherever possible Claudio was moving rocks to ...

46357. ... side niches of the large fault along which the cave had formed, ...

46351. ... yet bigger rocks had to be broken into smaller pieces which will be hauled up during the next excursion.

46363. A good hammer in capable hands can do a lot - the bottom landscape after Claudio had it enough for today.

46365. On return from the cave ...

46366. ... it was all smiles ...

46368. ... as the pile of excavated rock at the entrance was again considerably bigger.

46369. At departure we were rewarded with another charming winter karst land sunset.
