49283. The highest point we reached was this cottage at about 1100 m a. s. l., just below the upper road.
49284. It was rather late, half past four in the afternoon, too late to continue. A snack was called for.
49285. Approximate calculation showed that we were too much to the east so on return we first turned to the west and followed this semi-snow-covered road.

49287. We proceeded along this section of the road until a suitable track forked off downhill.
49289. The track we followed reached the lower road, at about 800 m a. s. l., at the beech tree with these markings.
49288. The presence of this car in the immediate vicinity confirmed that it was the correct starting point of the route to Planina Poljana. Our car was parked some 500 meters up the road, near the end of the passable section - further on there was too much snow to continue. A steep uphill track we followed forked off at that point, obviously a wrong one.
49291. The trip ultimately failed - but successful testing of new mountaineering boots was a collateral bonus.
