37964. A snack on the new festive tablecloth which Žan brought (some unknown visitors damaged the old one, provided by Jure, beyond repair): bread, garlic, cooked carrot, beetroot with lemon, black cummin oil, mulberry jam, aronia juice with hot water
37963. Mare had to depart early, in oncoming rain - duty at Pristava called.
37965. Žan came to the shelter earlier in the day and lit the stove - at the time the party departed to the cave temperature already climbed to 23 degrees C. In the picture - window glass was wet with moisture and somebody, not difficult to guess who, added the three letters on top (in English it would be four).

37967. Metod and Marjan are changing places - the latter will now replace the former at the excavation site.

37969. It was the wettest day in the cave so far - the water was trickling down the tunnel all the way and the ceiling was leaking rain water along every crack, bump or stalactite.

37976. Žan and his goulash are old acquaintances and he delved into the pot with all the vigor ... and passion.
37977. A (tripod) selfie at the door - Klok returned from the cave with very few spots on his caving suit that were not soaking wet.
37978. Jure paid Članska vas a visit and brought 3 bottles of Rebula sparkling wine for the veteransko putikovanje / Caving Veterans' New Year's Eve festivity on Friday next week. His presence at this all-important event is not yet assured - people in white coats are very likely taking him in over Christmas time.
37979. Žan also brought a new antique chandelier - the old one suffered considerably during the wind storm in the night from December 11 to 12. He acquired it second hand in Cerknica - the asking price was 40 euros. Too much for him, he offered 30. The old seller was reluctant to let it go when his wife interfered with the remark: Leave it, we can use it elsewhere. The deal went through, however, after Žan's answer: Make up your mind - I don't have all day to stay here and wait.
37980. Gale winds in the night from Monday to Tuesday brought further disaster to already ruined forest in Lanski vrh. The February 2014 sleet and its consequences downed most of spruce trees - and of the very few remaining quite some where uprooted this time, like this one to the NW of Članska vas.
37981. Vajzova cesta forest road, the normal access to Članska vas, was blocked by fallen spruces this time and we all came through Kališka cesta road which also runs east-west like Vajzova, a bit more to the north. Here not so many spruces were downed, like the one in the picture, and the road was already passable.
37982. December rains brought flooding in the karst fields - Planinsko polje valley transformed into a vast lake which also covered the Laze - Planina road. In the picture - road is closed at the southern exit from Laze.
