Članska vas Village

42175. Ičo was splitting firewood and some knotty logs resisted even very strong blows.

42174. Not this one.

42176. Žan now has a new chain saw and it performed flawlessly, either directly, here two logs were cut at once ...

42177. ... laterally ...

42178. ... or directly again, where the foot came in handy as an additional clamp.

42179. Ičo lit up a small camp fire, ...

42180. ... which quickly spread cozy warmth around the fireplace.

42181. Still life with the saw and the log splitting equipment

To Skednena jama Cave

42182. Red-belted bracket fungus, Fomitopsis pinicola, smrekova kresilača in Slovenian, on a spruce stump. Mare just acquired a compact 10 W LED accu floodlight and went to test it in Skednena jama cave. A phone call with an answer The dialed phone number is not available confirmed that Mare is still in the cave so the photographer hurried to meet him there. But he was too late - the floodlight battery was soon empty and Mare was met on the ridge above Članska vas.

42183. Ičo's hors d'oeuvre: prosciutto, cheese and dark bread roll - with Swiss army knife as the sole cutlery

42184. Not exactly L'origine du monde, but certainly just as pleasing to the eyes of its consumer: Žan's ham sandwich

42185. Mare, in entrepreneurial mood, as always

42186. Top view of a parasol mushroom, Macrolepiota procera, orjaški dežnik in Slovenian, at the cave trail side

42187. Side view of another parasol mushroom, close by

To Cave Bottom

42188. Marjan with a bucket ...

42189. ... and Manč filling one more at the excavation site

42190. End of the dig. With little to no air current the continuation will have to be searched for not in the forward direction, but below the bottom.

42191. Metod on the shelf at the side of the collapse

42192. View west from the cave trail, over the dry shrub blossoms and recovering beech trees

42193. Metod and Marjan, with a parasol mushroom in the right hand and a hundred times heavier power generator in the left one

42194. Chocolate covered little princess donuts which Metod brought

42195. Barbecue in full swing

42196. Aerial view of the outer table: Žan, Mare, Marjan (?), Metod, the photographer and Ičo.

42197. Nother snack arrangement: cooked potatoes with sliced ćevapćić (donated by Ičo), apple and plum compote, rice and apple cake, with two chocolate princess donuts as an additional decor.

42198. Žan is checking today's increase in the firewood pile at the western shelter wall.

42199. Manč's mother in law no longer needed her fur patchwork narrow rugs so they are now a welcome addition to the benches around the main shelter table.
