47918. View of the doline from the cave entrance. It used to be a field over 50 years ago, now forest has reclaimed it back. The area is called Turkovca as centuries ago invading Turks made a camp here, as a basis to attack the lowland parts of the classical karst, the hinterland of Triest. In the lower side of the picture a pile of rocks is to be found, excavated from the cave while its entrance, a blowhole, was opened.
47919. View of the doline slope from the bottom, with Ludvik at the entrance
47921. The entrance quickly descends into a 30 m shaft, with the anchor and the rope on top of it. The shaft is blind, but at its middle height, 15 m deep, is a window where the air current disappears. It is a beginning of a short meander and Claudio is widening it just now. The site is narrow and there is not enough room for two people. Yet the meander is short, another, deeper shaft follows, and Claudio is making the passage passable.
47922. Claudio on return, happy with today's achievements.
